don’t give me the title deed today
because you want my vote tomorrow
for the day after…you’ll leave
and I will be left in sorrow
don’t make me promises
that you know very well
you will not keep
you fooled me once
you fooled me twice
but this time I will not weep
you fall asleep in parliament
with a lot of contentment
while your people back at home
are yearning for development
don’t sell me
politics of insults
I’m only interested in results
from the issues
that the people
really want to share with you
don’t act like mister moneybags
the one who rose to riches from rags
disrupting funerals in shags
throwing money showing no class
the people have issues
real life issues
and I hope you can address them
but I’m afraid that you’ll ignore them
when they come to you for help
don’t give me the title deed today
because you want my vote tomorrow
for the day after…you’ll leave
and I will be left in sorrow
